About Us

Oodles Cheesecakes was founded in 2020 by Mary Ellen Murray.  Mary Ellen moved to Harford County, Maryland in 1995 with her amazing husband and daughter. In 2004 and 2005 Mary Ellen became a grandmother of two incredible kids.

After years of family, friends, co-workers and even complete strangers telling her she needs to develop a business around cheesecakes, she finally did just that. 

Mary Ellen spent three decades perfecting her recipes and has developed a variety of unique and delicious options. She is also dedicated to using the best and freshest ingredients available. It has been found that even those who are not fans of cheesecake love Oodles Cheesecakes.

The company was named after one of Mary Ellen’s biggest fans, her sister Julie. As kids, Mary Ellen gave her little red-headed sister the nickname of Oodles, and it stuck like glue, even into adulthood. 

Sadly, Julie passed away in February 2019 from cancer at the very young age of 51. In her honor and memory, Oodles Cheesecakes was born.
